Samantha Ferguson Knight is the Director of Senior Programming at LifeWise StL. She manages the AmeriCorps Seniors Senior Companion Program and the Senior Resiliency Fund. She has been working with, and advocating for older adults and their families since she moved to St. Louis in 2012. Samantha earned her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Older Adults and Aging Societies from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis and her Bachelor’s in Music from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She is a member of the St. Louis MDT to address Elder Financial Abuse, the City Senior Resource Team, and the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council.

Samantha uses the Life Course Perspective to guide her approach to program development and delivery. Samantha is dedicated to serving people of all ages and abilities with dignity and respect and works each day to build an all-age friendly community. Working with and promoting volunteerism among older adults is her greatest joy and she is eternally grateful for their invaluable service.
